Summer Teen Programs 2023
Overview
The Club is committed to providing an enriching summer camp experience for every youth. Specialty Camps allow youth to participate in specialized programming. This year's themes include Video Game Production, Photography, Illustration, Music Composition, 3D Modeling and WheelLab’s Build a Bike! Youth will have the opportunity to discover new interests and talents, make new friends, learn to work and play together, and create life-long memories!

Hours & Cost
Specialty Camp hours are from 8:00-3:00 daily. The cost is $295 per week.
Voyager hours are from 8:00am to 3:00pm daily. The cost is $325 per week.
After 3:00pm youth participating in Specialty Camp or Voyager will transition into Drop In.
Drop In hours are from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Drop In is free of charge.
(All programs will be CLOSED on Tuesday, July 4th)

Drop In
Come join us at the Lake Hills Clubhouse this summer! During the summer, the building opens at 12:00 p.m. and teens are welcome to participate in activities. The Lake Hills Clubhouse will be offering a variety of summer programs every day. In the Drop-In, teens participate in tech programs, recreation programs, art, music, and more. Teens must have an updated Boys and Girls membership.

Voyager
Voyager is a travel camp that will visit local attractions, colleges, beaches and parks in the greater Puget Sound Area.

Get ready to game! Members will learn how to design and program games while working in teams and sharpening art skills as well. We will have meet ups with industry professionals, game jam and provide necessary connections and resources for becoming a part of the video game industry.

Build a bike is a week long camp where youth will pick a donated bicycle to take apart and rebuild, learning the necessary mechanical skills and development skills building with their peers. At the end of camp youth get to keep the bike and learn safe riding habits on our graduation ride.

Zoom in! Members will learn the basics of photography. We will go on walks and field trips and learn how to take different kinds of photos. Members will develop a portfolio to showcase their work afterwards as well.

Leave it all on the page! Members will develop illustration skills and complete an assortment of illustrative works. We will have illustrative exercises, work with peer feedback and gain resources to further develop illustrative skills after camp is over.

Here comes the music! Members will learn the entire music making process and find a role within it. We will meet with industry professionals, write music, learn about music theory in a fun and non-judgmental way and mix music as well.

Catch that shape! Members will learn the 3D modeling process for both CAD and software applications. We will hold 3d modeling games and exercises, have peer feedback and gain resources for continuing learning past the end of the specialty camp.
